Turbofunk - Gotta Move

I promise this will be the last song I'll blog about this week. Jess is starting to fear for my sanity, but I've just come across some really fun tracks in the last 5 days or so. Not having the luxury of private torrent sites and having to look for everything myself equals a lot of slow chart browsing, magazine reading, shop browsing, forum lurking, etc. Talk about a reality check. That's not to say that I wouldn't want an invite to Waffles, the second-coming of OiNK, but I've been doing fine without it.

One question. Who is Turbofunk other than the producer of this undeniably catchy (and you might say relatively cheesy), French house-influenced track? I'm really at a loss. You can find the single on Phonetic Recordings/Data Records but Rough Trade offers the following description, which was about all I could dig up:
Described as the new 'Daft Punk' by Scott Mills at Radio 1. The French producer behind Turbofunk is no stranger to success, having remixed for Justin Timberlake and Jamelia. It has heavy specialist support from the likes of Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce.
Yikes at all the DP comparisons floating around lately, but I can understand why they'd think that. Please watch the unofficial video clip for "Gotta Move" as well, especially if you've never seen a Lego man breakdance, moonwalk or simply get down in the club under strobe lighting.
