She should've known I would've been trouble from the moment we first met, dancing onstage at a TTC show with Teki Latex to DJ Assault. Yeah, I don't think your "how I met my co-blogger" story can top that, but I dare you to try. I may have accidentally blown out her electricity and repeatedly tripped over her numerous houseguests but I've done far worse at multi-person sleepovers in this lifetime so count your blessings.
Both Modular parties went off without a hitch (ie. no fire alarm evacuations like the last monthly with Digitalism), guests and performers alike exceeded all expectations (New Young Pony Club's cover of Technotronic is a perfect example) and new favorite fellow intern, Josh, blew us away with his strictly vinyl sets that boasted tunes from Wighnomy Brothers? That's a pleasant first for these gatherings. It was the kind of thing you witnessed and were consequently embarrassed by when you popped onstage to do a short set with a just-burned MP3 CD and Serato.
Cirez D vs. Axwell - Galactic TigerAdmittedly, what I lack in technical skills, I attempt to make up for with song selection when I (and I use term very loosely here) DJ. So here you have my favorite track to play out at the moment, a track I played at the Muscles party, which may come in handy now that everyone's precious internet piracy tool, OiNK, has bitten the dust. It's a clever, white label mash-up of Cirez D's (aka Eric Prydz) tech-house "Tigerstyle" tune from his 2007 Horizons release with The Beastie Boys' space robot anthem "Intergalactic". Go wild.
